Selling on eBay is one of the easiest ways of making money on the internet. Millions of people are doing it every day.

There are a couple of ways to approach full-time selling on ebay. You can specialize in one particular field (ie records, pottery, clothing) or you can generalize.

If you have a passion it may be better to specialize. If you don't really know a lot about one specific subject it may be best to generalize and buy whatever you think you can make money on.

There are businesses out there that will wholesale products to you that you can resell for a profit. Be very careful with them - more often than not you'll be competing with thousands of other ebayers trying to sell the same stuff.

If you're not already registered to sell on eBay, you'll need to sign up with them. You'll need a credit card and you'll also need to sign up with Paypal (they handle most of the money transactions when you sell on ebay).

It may be best for you to start with smaller ticket items, just to get a feel for how it works. Make sure you keep your customers happy, since good feedback is extremely important. Once you get at least 10 positive feedbacks you'll be able to sell items at a fixed price rather than just at auction. This can be a much quicker way to sell if you price your items right.

Whatever you choose to sell, do your research first. See what's selling and what isn't. See what items similar to yours have sold for lately and take it from there.

If you put a bit of effort into it you CAN make a living selling on eBay. Just don't expect it to happen overnight.
